A website that helps drivers across the US compare car insurance online.

The Lion Coverage Rates is here to make shopping for car insurance simpler. You share some details about the car you drive, your history on the road and the coverage you're looking for, and we forward them to carriers and agencies licensed in your state. Any offer that comes back is that company's own quote, and it is entirely up to you whether to take it.

We are not an insurer

The Lion Coverage Rates doesn't issue policies, decide prices, prepare policy paperwork or pay out on claims. The licensed carrier or agency behind each quote is responsible for it, and for any decision about coverage. If you buy a policy, your contract is with that company, not with us.

How we make money

Using this site costs you nothing. Partners pay us when we refer someone who may become their customer. Those payments can influence which partners we pair you with and the sequence in which they appear. They have no effect on the premium a partner offers you, and we aren't paid extra when you pick a more expensive policy.

We can't connect you with every insurer in the market, and some companies don't take part in comparison sites at all.

Rules vary by state

States decide their own minimum coverage requirements, how injury claims are handled and which factors insurers are allowed to consider when setting prices. That's why two similar drivers who live in different states may get very different quotes.
